An authoritative guide to arthroscopy (minimally invasive keyhole joint surgery): what to expect as a patient, and the latest techniques, best practices, and developments for clinicians.
Arthroscopy Mauritius is an independent, educational information hub on arthroscopy, part of the Medtech medical-technology network within the Chemtech Group. It exists to serve two audiences equally: patients and families preparing for or researching a keyhole joint procedure, and clinicians and surgeons following techniques, evidence and developments in the field.
Patient guides are written in plain language, define jargon on first use, and give realistic recovery ranges as general expectations rather than fixed promises. Clinician briefings are precise, current and vendor-neutral, anchored to general consensus, and hedged where practice is still evolving. We do not invent statistics, trial names or citations, and we do not make brand or "best product" claims. Content is reviewed for accuracy and clarity before it is published.
The site runs a two-door model: a patient lane and a clinician lane. Patient pieces are accurate enough that a clinician would not wince, and clinician pieces are defined enough to be broadly readable. Every article cross-links to its counterpart, so a curious patient or a surgeon sharing a page can cross over.
Everything here is general information and education only. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for advice from your own surgeon or a qualified clinician who knows your history. Never delay seeking care, or disregard professional advice, because of something you read on this site.
